How Light Is the eFOLDI Explorer?

The eFOLDi Explorer weighs 17Kg / 38lbs without battery (19Kg / 42lbs with battery).

How much weight can my eFOLDI explorer carry?

The eFOLDi Explorer can carry up to 120Kg / 265lbs

How fast does my eFOldi Explorer Treavel?

Up to 4mph in slow speed gear switch and 8mph in fast speed gear switch. This depends on many factors, including conditions of terrain, slope angle, load weight and weather conditions. The throttle is sensitive to how much you twist it, so if you don't want to go at full speed you don't have to twist it all the way.

What tire pressure should I pump my tires up to?

This does depend upon the intended terrain and the weight of the load, but we recommend 35 PSI on each of the 3 tires for a comfortable ride in most conditions.

What size Inner tube will I need if I get a puncture?

12" for the front and 10" for the rear.

How do I change the front tire/inner tube?

Pinch and release the brake cable just above the front wheel. Unclip the electric cable and then use a spanner to undo the wheel nuts. Then the front wheel will drop out from the forks for you to be able to replace either the tire or the inner tube. This is best done with a set of tire levers. Once you have replaced the tire or inner tube, repeat the same process in reverse.

What sort of breaking system does my eFOLDi Explorer have?

The brake is a standard cable rim brake, just like on a bicycle. Over time and usage, the cable will stretch and the brake blocks will wear. Once you notice any performance loss, it is recommended that you book you eFOLDi Explorer in for a service. To engage the brake lock, pull on the brake lever and then push the lock into place. Never fold your eFOLDi Explorer with the brake lock on, as this will cause damage to the mechanism.

How long does it take for  the battery to charge?

Up to 5 hours. It is recommended to charge when the voltage display reads less than 24. When it is fully charged it will read 29.2

What do the keys do?

The flat keys are the ignition keys, which insert into the eFOLDi Explorer next to the throttle. The rounded keys are the battery keys and release and lock the battery into its compartment at the rear of the eFOLDi Explorer.

Where is the barrery on my eFOLDi explorer located?

The battery is located in the compartment behind the back rest.

Can I charge my eFOLDi Explorer with the battery left in?

Yes, it is up to you if you would prefer to charge the battery either in, or out of the eFOLDi Explorer.

How far will the eFOLDi explorer go on a charge?

The range is impacted by a number of factors in respect of surface and tyre conditions but will travel up to 22km/14 miles on dry even surfaces.

What do I do if the seat springs squeak?

Spray the seat bolts and springs with a PTFE spray, which will stop any squeaking.

IS the handlebar or seat height adjustable?

No, neither are able to be adjusted.

Can I take my eFOLDi Explorer on an airplane?

Yes. You can drive your eFOLDi Explorer up to the cabin doors, where you will be asked to take out the battery and keep it with you for the duration of the flight. The main eFOLDi Explorer will be taken to a secure part of the hold by the cabin crew and returned to you when you land.

Warranty Coverage

• Defects in certain materials and workmanship of all eFoldi products
• The frame, sub-frame, forks, steering column and rear wheels
• The motor, charger, controller unit, indicators, horn, brake lever, headlight and battery

Not Covered Under Warranty

• Damage caused by the owner or any other person not authorised by eFOLDi attempting to modify, fix or alter the product.
• Damage caused by improper use
• Tyres, inner tubes, fuses, lightbulbs, brake pads & cables, all subject to wear and tear; and
• If the product has been purchased or transfered from the origional purchaser.

Making a Claim

In the event of a warranty claim we ask that the problem be reported to us immediately. Please go to our website on efoldi.com/warrantyclaim and complete the appropriate fields and submit.

Processing a Claim

We aim to process returns as quickly as possible but please allow 10 working days for completion of the requested returns process, whether it is a repair, refund or delivery of a replacement or alternative product. In some cases that may require the product or part being sent back to our workshop for full assessment.

If it is decided that the product should be returned to us, please note the following information to help us deal with your Warranty efficiently. Please ensure that the returned item is well packed to prevent damage and in the original packaging, where possible.

Claim Resolution

In the event of a claim requiring a replacement part, we will provide warranty cover for the replacement part for the remainder of the origional warranty period. In the event of the claim not being covered by our Warranty, we will invoice for a replacement part and ship the part once payment has been received.

Returns

If you're not happy with your purchase from efoldi.com, send it back within 30 days for a refund.

• The item must be as new and unused. Indications of use include, but are not limited to: Cracks, scratches, dirty tires, pet hair or other household dirt, wear to seats and armrests, damage to charging ports, scratches to the frame, or scratches remotes
• The product must be sent back with all items including (but not exhaustive) keys, battery, charger, manual and original packing
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, we recommend you use a tracking service and shipping insurance
• items must be returned within 30 days
• Unfortunately, delivery service fees, including Next-Day and Overnight shipping fees, Inside Delivery, White Glove Delivery and Tech Set-Up are not refundable
• Cancellation of custom or pre-made orders have a 25% restocking fee, if cancelled after 24 hours
