Why doesn't the mattress fall out of the bed frame when the UPbed Independence stands up?

The engineers really worked overtime here to create an elegant solution. The UPbed Independence mattress cover does more than just protect the memory foam mattress...it actually zips onto the entire bed frame to hold it securely in place! The 4-way stretch fabric is both breathable for your comfort and designed to flex with the bed into whatever position suits you best.

Do normal sheets fit the UPbed Independence?

Yes. The UPbed Independence is sold as a Twin bed that uses Standard Twin sized linens and Twin XL bed that uses Twin XL sized linens.

What do I do with a top sheet and blanket before raising the bed to avoid tripping on them when standing and walking away from my UPbed Independence?

Most UPbed Independence owners simply drape the top sheet and blanket over one of the armrests and tuck it in a bit so it stays in place as the bed raises you up. Your legs and feet are now uncovered, and you can walk away from your bed without worrying about tripping over them.

Will my existing headboard and frame work with the UPbed Independence?

No. The UPbed Independence is built with an attractive frame. It replaces all of your existing bed, including the frame and any headboard and footboard. The UPbed Independence's attractive design looks like furniture rather than a hospital bed, so there's no need for "covering it up" with headboards and footboards. Also, these would get in the way of UPbed Independence's unique ability to swivel left or right and to stand you up to get out of bed safely and easily.

How do the UPbed Independence armrests work?

Your safety is the top priority, and the unique armrests protect you in several ways. In their 'flat' position, they serve as bedrails to keep you from accidentally falling out of bed. When the UPbed Independence stands you up, they're right there to hold as supports when standing in front of your bed. The padding is not bulky, and the fabric is textured to give you a better grip.
If you want to enter or leave the bed from the side, you or a helper can simply pull a knob to raise and lock them in their "upright" position. They'll be out of your way...yet close enough to grab with a hand if needed for stability. Some owners also prefer this position when exiting from the foot of their UPbed Independence. They're also each fully removable if you don't need one or both of them at any time.

Is there a battery backup in case of a power outage?

Included with the UPbed Independence are two standard 9-volt batteries that will allow you to put the bed in a lay flat position in the event of a power outage. This is for emergency, one-time use only and will not operate the bed repeatedly.

Excellent Purchase For Spouse With Parkinson's Disease

I am very imporessed with the UpBed because its more than a chair. I purhcased it for my husband who has progressive Parkinson's. He has been spending nights and days on a lift chair, but he needs to be able to turn on his side or back to prevent sores.
The Head of the UpBed can be raised and the foot can be adjusted for comfort similar like a hospital bed. But the up bed can also swivel left and right. The UPbed frame is made well and very sturdy. The mattress is comfortable, not soft and not too hard. Worth the price

The Reluctant Zoomer

I had a near death stroke that left me with use of only my left side at the peak of my career as a physician. After a years of climbing back to being able to walk again I did not want to resort to a wheelchair. As age, pain, and a very traumatic athletic career left me with a "train wrecked" lower spine even surgeons were reluctant to try to repair the damage. I Could not walk more than a few steps...my - wife was having to do it all.
However, now looking on the bright side, with the Zoomer mobility is easy. I can get around the house, yard, go shopping, and it has been adaptable to my stroke needs as well.

I legit love my rollz

My Rollz Motion was shipped right to my door and took my husband maybe 10 minutes to set up. The bulk of the rollator walker was already put together and he just had to read some instructions, add the pouch underneath, adjust the handles, and unpackage the seat and footrests. I knew as soon as he had it set up and we figured out how it worked and how easily it transformed into a wheelchair that this mobility aid was going to CHANGE MY LIFE.

Dealer Was Quick To Respond When Had A Problem

I could not mute the backup buzzer when the chair first arrived. Dealer was quick to provide a video. Then I realized that the chair back was too vertical. Dealer offered an older model with variable reclining feature.
What I like: the brakes are really good.
What I don't like: battery charge lasts only about two days. I bought a second battery. It's charge is about the same. That includes four trips outside, each about a quarter mile. The rest of the time is spent indoors, partly on carpet.

Perfect

?It arrived later than expected but it is so worth the extra week I waited. I am amazed how fast it can go. I fit in it fine and I am 5'10 and 170 lbs. I have a ramp and it easily went up and down. My husband weighs almost 300 lbs. and it never slowed down when he tried it out. I love the swivel seat. I am temporarily needing a wheelchair and this scooter will help me be able to go out in my yard more and out to our farm buildings.

Soooper Small Scooter

Very comfortable and maneuverable. Ideal for close quarters and narrow hallways. Tight turning radius.. Goes in and out of normal doorways and small rooms easily. Fits through 24" door just barely---1" on a side, but I doubt any other power chair could do so. Batteries do not seem to hold charge as they should even after several recharge cycles acknowledged as necessary with these types of batteries.

Exceeded my Expectation!

My mom is a severe asthma patient and we always hesitate going out to the park and shopping mall. And she is OCD so she won't use rental gears lol! So I bought this Roadster for her and wow.
